The holidays and 2010 are behind us now. It is a new year. Before you can really move onto the goals and intentions set for 2011, you must get your tax information in order. If you get it done well before the deadline, you will have less stress filing in April. You won’t need an extension and won’t pay any penalties if you get organized ASAP.
Your Virtual Assistant can help you get ready and have all you need for your accountant well before April. Your VA can organize all your business receipts for the year and make sure they are all entered into your bookkeeping program. If you want to get credit for all your expenses, they must be entered into your bookkeeping system. Once that is complete, your Virtual Assistant can create the necessary reports for your accountant to use when filing your taxes in April.
Your Virtual Assistant can also verify that all the income you received from products and services sold in 2010 are in your bookkeeping program. A report can then be generated for this area as well. Profit and loss statements can be drawn up and reviewed to see where you can improve in 2011. Together, you and your VA can come up with a budget for 2011 once the tax reports are complete.
Let’s start 2011 off on the right foot. Procrastination is a thing of the past whether it is taxes or any other task you dread. We will not procrastinate, and we will delegate! Happy 2011! Let’s rock it together!
