Late last month I received a Universal wake-up call, you know, that lovely 2×4 that hits you out of the blue. I went in for my annual blood work and a follow up on a benign cyst found late last year. In the process, we talked about my annual mammogram. I swore up and down that I went in December as usual. I really thought I had.
As it turns out, after the doctor called the center where I get them, I was proven wrong. I had gone for an intermittent check in September, but I did not follow up on my annual date in December. I was so involved in taking care of my son’s health issues at the time that I totally forgot to take care of my own.
Though this is a personal area of life, your Virtual Assistant or Online Business Manager can help you keep track of your annual checkups
and other doctor or dentist appointments you may have. Depending on what your comfort zone is where your personal health is concerned, your Virtual Assistant or Online Business Manager can manage your schedule and calendar to include these personal activities.
It is imperative that you keep these appointments going on a regular basis. Your health is important to keeping up with your business, your family and life in general. Don’t let your health get away from you. Talk to your VA or OBM today. Get those appointments scheduled and monitored regularly to be sure you are the best you possible. It’s just too easy to let those things slide when you’re busy with work, family and life. Never forget to take care of you first and foremost! Everything else will suffer if you don’t.
Going thru something similar right now. It is sooooo easy to get caught up in caring for everyone else that we forget about ourselves. I try to remind myself that if I am not ship-shape I can’t be the best for myself or anyone else! Thank YOU for the reminder! Hugs and prayers for your good health (and your son’s).
Hi JuliAnn! Thank you for commenting on this post. I am glad I could keep you on top of it. It is so easy to get lost in life and family stuff. If we don’t take care of ourselves, we can’t take care of others. I hope you stay on top of your situation as well. Hugs and prayers right back at ya! Take care of you!
