SophieZo Virtually There For You

Your Virtual Assistant or Online Business Manager Can Design and Manage Your WordPress Website/Blog

October 6, 2011 by sophiezo 2 Comments

There are so many different ways to create a website or blog. Some are free like Blogger while others are paid like WordPress. While free is good, it’s not the best way to go because it shows you’re not series about your business. Generally you’ll have ads on your site that you have no control over and most of the time you can’t have a paid domain on your site. While you can forward a domain, that will not come through when you link to other pages or when you look at the address bar when you’re in your site.

Domain pricing starts at $8 a year and goes up from there depending on where you purchase it and the type of domain you purchase. Hosting will be the most expensive part of your website, but it’s not that expensive if you think about it. Hosting starts at $5 a month and goes up from there depending on who you purchase it from, how much space you need, and how many websites you put on your plan.

When you decide to go with a paid site, you have several options to choose from. You can go with complete code which is HTML or CSS, but unless you know this code and how to make it go from code to your site, you’ll have to pay a designer to do it for you. There is a lot that goes into a website when it comes to code which is the main reason you must pay a designer to make the changes each time you update it.

Another option that’s a lot easier to use is WordPress. WordPress is a platform that gives you the ability to put your own text and images into it. Then it will take that and turn it into the code necessary to create a website. You have templates to choose from and WordPress knows exactly what to do to insert the code into the areas you want to fill based on the option you choose.

Creating a website or blog and updating it through WordPress is easy to do, but if you don’t have the knowledge or the time, it’s not easy. One option is to hire a Virtual Assistant or Online Business Manager to do this for you. She’ll be able to take your text and design ideas and put them into a website or blog that will work perfectly for you. You’ll be able to work more closely with this person and you’ll feel she’s there to do what you want and not what she thinks is right.

A paid website shows you are series about your business and that you’re ready to help your target market. WordPress is the best way to create a paid website. If you hire a Virtual Assistant or Online Business Manager to help with that, you’ll have the best site and one you’ll be happy with.

I think that in order to make money you have to spend money, i also think that one way of making your business grow and be successful is that you have to get those extra hands. Thanks for sharing this article.

      Hi Michael,

Thank you for commenting. It is true that you have to spend money to make money especially when spending money frees you up to do the things that make money. Delegating the non-money making things frees you up to do the money-making work.

      Sophie

We’ve been working with Sophie Zollmann for almost half a year now, building an online lifelong learning platform and community from the ground up (because in-person classes became impossible in light of the corona virus). Sophie has guided every technical aspect of this enterprise including the construction of landing-pages and websites, the management of mailing lists and revenue funnels, setting up Zoom meetings, etc., allowing us to focus exclusively on content production and marketing. This platform is now off the ground and succeeding beyond our wildest hopes.

We couldn’t have built it without Sophie’s support, which has always been prompt and timely, and her guidance, as she’s always pointed us to the most efficient and economical solutions to whatever technical issue we’ve faced. In the heat of the moment, I’m sure we’ve not always been easy to work with, but Sophie has also been generous and understanding to a fault. In sum, her support has been flawless and absolutely essential to the success of our online enterprise. We will be relying on her services again as we ramp up for our next phase of growth.
