Give Yourself the
Gift of Self-Care

Ah, the holidays… That wonderful season of lights, carols, family, friends, gifts, parties, and STRESS! Yes, the holidays are filled with fun, but they’re also full of extra tasks on top of an already busy life and heavy workload. If you’re not careful, the season of joy can be eclipsed by a heaping pile of holiday stress! You don’t have to let the holidays overwhelm you – the secret to keeping your sanity this season is making time for self-care.

During the holidays we tend to think about everyone else. We focus on buying gifts for our friends and family, showing appreciation for our clients and team members, and making magic for our children. After all, it is the season of giving! But it’s hard to keep giving when your well of holiday cheer has run dry. When you’re out there making magic for everyone else, don’t forget about yourself. Here are 5 ways to take care of your mind and body during the busy holiday season:

   1. Start Your Day Off Right

Try a short, guided meditation before you begin your busy day. Starting with a calm mind helps reduce your stress throughout the day.

   2. Get Moving

Exercise is extra important during high-stress times. To keep yourself mentally and physically fit, don’t let your workout routine fall behind. On days when you can’t possibly squeeze in a full sweat session, take a lunchtime walk to get your blood and creative juices flowing.

   3. Put Fun on the Calendar

Don’t get so caught up in the tasks of the season that you forget the joys! Whether it’s ice skating with the kids or snuggling up on the couch to watch your favorite holiday movie, schedule some seasonal fun. Literally put it on your calendar – if you schedule it, you’re less likely to blow it off because you’re too busy.

   4. Add Some Holiday Cheer

Even though the holidays can be busy and stressful, they truly are wonderful! Don’t lose sight of the holiday spirit. Incorporate some seasonal touches to your workspace like scented candles, your favorite holiday music, or even a desktop tree!

   5. Take It All In

Don’t let those moments that make the holidays so special slip by. Pause for a moment to really enjoy those beautiful decorations. Take time to count your blessings and be thankful for the family and friends around you.

If work stress is leaving no room for holiday cheer, SophieZo can help! Book a call today and give yourself the gift of less stress by building the perfect plug and play team.

We’ve been working with Sophie Zollmann for almost half a year now, building an online lifelong learning platform and community from the ground up (because in-person classes became impossible in light of the corona virus). Sophie has guided every technical aspect of this enterprise including the construction of landing-pages and websites, the management of mailing lists and revenue funnels, setting up Zoom meetings, etc., allowing us to focus exclusively on content production and marketing. This platform is now off the ground and succeeding beyond our wildest hopes.

We couldn’t have built it without Sophie’s support, which has always been prompt and timely, and her guidance, as she’s always pointed us to the most efficient and economical solutions to whatever technical issue we’ve faced. In the heat of the moment, I’m sure we’ve not always been easy to work with, but Sophie has also been generous and understanding to a fault. In sum, her support has been flawless and absolutely essential to the success of our online enterprise. We will be relying on her services again as we ramp up for our next phase of growth.
