What’s Your Vision?

The last few weeks have changed the way most of us do business. Even if you were already online, you’ve likely faced challenges as you and your team juggle new responsibilities and more distractions. Some changes have been difficult, but we’ve also discovered some wonderful surprises. We’re spending more quality time with our families, and enjoying a slower, more relaxed pace that we’d like to keep long after the shelter in place order is lifted.

Right now, is a great time to ask yourself what you want for your business. Is it time to set new goals or reassess your day-to-day strategy? As you consider your vision for the future, there are three questions you should ask:

1. What Do I Want for My Business?

Is growth and expansion your goal? Do you want to focus more on building and strengthening customer relationships? Take the time to think about where you want your business to be in 6 months, a year, five years…

Ask yourself what you love most about your business and which elements bring you the most joy and satisfaction – these might be the areas that you should consider expanding. Also think about the parts that you find frustrating and stressful. How can you delegate them or even eliminate them going forward?

2. What’s My Plan?

When you know what you want for your business, you can figure out what you’ll need to get there. Maybe you need to add new members to your team. Perhaps a website update is in order.

Begin mapping a plan that allows you to reach your goals without sacrificing your personal life. Start small – decide how you’ll proceed in the coming weeks. Then you can make adjustments and fine tune your plan as you go to reach those long-term goals.

3. What Do I Want for Myself?

This is by far the most important question. It doesn’t matter how successful your business is if it comes at the expense of your happiness and well-being. If you want to make quality time with family, time to relax, or self-care a priority, do it! Build free time into your business plan by deciding what you can delegate.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned lately, it’s that there’s nothing more important than your health and the people you love. Make sure you keep them at the top of your priority list after the crises has abated.

One of the best things about owning your own business is the ability to structure it in a way that meets your needs. The team at SophieZo is here to help you realize your vision for your business. Book a call today and let’s talk about how we can make your dreams for the future a reality.
