This week, I had the honor of interviewing my dear friend and mentor, Bob Burg, on my podcast, Building Your Empire with SophieZo.
I’ve known Bob for many years now, and his excellent advice has had a huge impact on the way I do business.
Bob has been successfully showing entrepreneurs, leaders, and sales professionals how to communicate their value and accelerate their referrals for over 30 years. His best-selling Go Giver book series, co-authored with John David Mann has sold over a million copies, and has influenced entrepreneurs all over the world!
It was such an honor to have Bob as my very first guest, and I couldn’t wait to ask him this very important question:
What is your best tip, trick, or piece of advice for that high 6-figure business owner who is ready to take their business to the next level?
Bob’s advice is amazingly simple. He reminds us that nobody is going to do business with you because you have a quota to meet, or because you want to make more money…
People decide to do business with you because they believe it will benefit THEM. They believe that their business will be better by working with you, rather than not working with you.
It makes perfect sense, right? You can be the nicest, most wonderful person in the world (and people skills do matter!), but at the end of the day, the secret to success is showing potential customers the value and benefit that comes from working with you.
