Many entrepreneurs (women in particular!) struggle with making sales.
The whole process of “selling” can feel icky and wrong, and some business owners would be perfectly happy if they never had to sell again!
But we all know that’s not a realistic approach for a thriving business, so I asked my friend and personal mentor Amira Alvarez to join me on the podcast to talk about changing the mindset that surrounds sales.
As the founder and CEO of The Unstoppable Woman, Amira has helped thousands of business owners achieve their dreams and goals in record time – and that doesn’t happen by avoiding sales!
Amira and I talked about reaching your goals for your business and getting comfortable with sales through a process she calls the Manifestation Matrix. It begins with an idea and ends with you creating the business of your dreams and reaching every goal you set!
Let’s look at Amira’s advice for manifesting your dreams for your business:
- Step 1: Call your idea into reality.
Don’t be afraid to claim what you really want. This is not the time to think small. Don’t set simple, easy-to-obtain goals. Go for the big dreams that scare the crap out of you!
- Step 2: Create your scale plan.
Do the math that gets you from where you are to where you want to be, and start planning accordingly. If you want more money, there are only three ways to make that happen – raise your prices, sell more of what you already have, or add new channels to your service or product offerings. Your scale plan gets you from your dream to your new reality.
- Step 3: Dump the defeatist mentality.
Let’s be honest, getting what you truly want is rarely easy. And when the going gets tough, you’re often your own worst enemy. When your brain starts telling you all the reasons you can’t do something, you’ve got to stop it in its tracks. Change the energy and your inner monologue. Instead of focusing on the reasons you CAN’T do it, embrace the energy of opportunity and potential and look for all the ways you CAN make it happen!
- Step 4: Change the way you think about sales.
“Sales” is not a dirty word – it’s simply the way money moves through your business. When you sell a service, you’re not tricking or manipulating your customers. You’re providing a solution to their problems and making their lives better. What’s shameful about that? Be proud of what you do and let’s end the misconception that there’s anything icky about sales!
