What’s your CEO style?
Are you calm, cool, collected, and a master at delegating tasks? Or do you often feel like you’re running around like a chicken with your head cut off?
Running a business can feel a little chaotic at times, but if you’re constantly all over the place, doing this, doing that, putting out fires everywhere, you’re screwing over your business. The better you are at organizing your time and tasks, the more efficient and productive you’ll be.
So, let’s talk about three ways you can maximize your time, up your efficiency, and step into your genius to lead your team to the top!
- Narrow Your Focus
As the CEO you should be focusing on the high yield areas of your business, not the basic daily tasks. If you’re scheduling your own calls, managing your own calendar, managing your team, dealing with a barrage of emails, AND managing every project, you are spreading yourself far too thin. You can’t do it all, and handing off tasks to your team so you can focus your genius on growth is the key to scaling sustainably.
If you’re not handing things off to your team, why do you even have one?? Sustainable growth requires efficiency, and that means building strategies and SOPs that make it easy to designate tasks and create that well-oiled growth machine that leads you to the next level of success. When you delegate effectively, you have the time and space you need to generate revenue, make sales calls, network, and increase your company’s impact.
- Systemize EVERYTHING
Systems are the foundation of success. When you have tried and tested systems in place you can rinse and repeat and be successful every time. But don’t get too comfortable!! Even when you have fabulous systems and SOPs you still need to be consistent about analyzing, measuring, and optimizing everything to constantly improve your efficiency and flow.
Systems help everything run smoothly, but it doesn’t eliminate chaos completely! When you find yourself running around like a chicken with your head off, take a moment to just STOP. Sit down or take a short walk to let your brain cool off for a few minutes. If you take the time to think through what you’re doing, plot the steps, and build the systems that get you to your goals, you’ll be more efficient, less stressed, and less likely to face serious burnout.
