Social media can be a wonderful way for businesses to build an audience or community for their brand. The more you work to improve relationships with your customers, the more your loyalty levels will begin to grow. The only problem is that many organizations struggle with convincing their customers to make purchases through social media.

Unless you have the constant support of a social media manager, then you might not know how to use “calls to action” on social channels. However, CTAs are an important part of convincing your customers to do whatever you want them to do.

Using CTAs On Social Media

Many businesses avoid using CTAs on social media because they want to make sure that they don’t seem too pushy. However, it’s crucial to remind your customers that you’re there to offer them an important and valuable service. By deciding what action you want your users to take and creating a hook for them to follow, you can guide them from “interest” all the way to “conversion”.
Here are a few tips to get you started.

1. Create The Hook

The hook on your social media CTA is the thing that tells your audience what’s in it for them if they click on your link or buy your product. Make sure that your customers know why they want to sign up for your newsletter or purchase your services. For instance, “Click here to look gorgeous in your new dress.”

2. Know Your Audience

The more you learn about your audience and what they value most about your company, the more you can adjust your CTA to meet their needs. For instance, if you discover that people don’t buy your low-fat cupcakes to lose weight, but to indulge in something delicious, you could say “Click here for a guilt-free treat.”

3. Test And Improve

Finally, make sure that you continue to test different CTAs to discover which ones have the best impact on your audience. Split testing will allow you to determine which words, phrases, and links have the best results with your conversion rates.
