1.    Lies (Falsehoods)

While you can always offer your opinions on things that are happening in the world, or even tell your customers that you consider your business to be the “best” in the world, never claim to do something that you don’t. Even little white lies could come back to bite you.

2.    Controversial Jokes

It’s nice to have a sense of humor when you’re posting online, but it’s important not to make jokes that some people might take the wrong way. If you’re concerned that something you write might go down the wrong way with some clients, simply avoid it. Jokes should be tasteful, and your social media manager will be able to advise you against any that aren’t.

3.    Anything “Rude”

Finally, you should probably avoid swearing and posting rude content on your social media pages that might end up getting you flagged. While it’s okay to have a persona that’s young and “rebellious” in some cases, it’s important to make sure that you follow the rules provided by the social media channels that you’re using.
