Creating Content that Solves Problems!

Effective content marketing has one goal- to create content that resonates with your audience and inspires them to take action.

And that leaves lots of content creators and entrepreneurs wondering, “How do I do that, exactly??”

Creating content that speaks to your audience shouldn’t be a guessing game. By researching your target audience’s wants, needs, challenges, and pain points, you can save yourself from wasting time and money on marketing content that misses the mark.

When you create content that addresses your audience’s most common pain points and challenges, your target audience feels seen, heard, and understood, and that increases your chances of making a conversion.

Here are 3 simple guidelines to follow before you launch your next marketing initiative:

  1.     Listen to Your Customers

You already have a group of ideal clients right in front of you! Reach out to your most engaged, most loyal customers to learn more about the problems they faced and how your business was able to solve them.

Tip: Create surveys using tools like SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, or Typeform to gather quantitative and qualitative data that can guide your content creation.

  1.     Feel Their Pain

Every member of your target audience is different, but they all struggle with similar problems. By researching the most common pain points your audience is facing, you can create a message that speaks to their specific obstacles and offers valuable solutions.

Tip: Create a list of the top 5-10 pain points your audience is facing. Prioritize them by frequency and severity and use this to map your content strategy.

  1.     Solve Their Problems

You’ve identified the problems, now it’s time to offer solutions. Create content that highlights your unique value proposition (UVP) and clearly conveys how your services or products can solve your audiences’ problems and improve their businesses and lives.

Tip: Create problem-solving content in the form of a “How-To” guide or a problem/solution article that provides clear, actionable steps to resolve the issue.

Use the insights you’ve gained to create a content calendar based on your prioritized pain points. Research keywords that support your strategy and focus on creating content that offers real solutions to your ideal clients’ problems. When you see your conversion rates rising and your engagement rates growing, you’ll know you’re on the right track!
